A tool for students and teachers, as schools are closed but teaching and learning should not stop. Especially on topics which help build the society\u2019s sense of civic duty.<\/p>\n

With a joint project named \u201cLa Memoria resta aperta\u201d (Remembrance stays open), the Foundation \u201cMuseum of the Shoah\u201d in Rome and Rai Cinema will make available for free a number of documentaries on the Holocaust and anti-Jewish laws which can be streamed on the website Raicinemachannel.it. It is a project which \u201caims at giving access to contents and educational tools, so that students and teachers can keep on studying even during class suspension.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to bring resources onstream to prevent us from stopping, so that life may continue even in hard times like these,\u201d underlines Mario Venezia, President of the Foundation, whose experts introduce and comment on the documentaries. \u201cWe are doing this along with Rai Cinema, with whom we have been cooperating for several years now on Remembrance topics, and we offer a learning path through the language of cinema. Thanks to Rai Cinema, films and additional contents can reach the houses of Italian students and teachers who are not allowed to go to school due to the Coronavirus emergency.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Paolo Del Brocco, Rai Cinema\u2019s CEO, \u201cThis project, in which we took part with great enthusiasm along with the Foundation \u2018Museum of the Shoah\u2019, shows our sense of responsibility. It is an example to show our commitment in such difficult times for our country. We hope that offering the chance of streaming documentaries for free, especially to students and teachers who are forced to remote classes, will create occasions for growth and cultural exchange.\u201d With the Foundation, Del Brocco says, \u201ca fruitful collaboration, which involves teaching as well, has been in place for years; we hope this project may become, in such difficult times, a small but still positive sign.\u201d
