HOSTAGES -132 photos at Circus Maximus in Rome raise awareness

An artistic installation was set in Rome to remember the hundred days of hell for the Israeli hostages, who from October 7, have been held in Gaza since the terrorist action of Hamas on the soil of the Jewish state. The initiative, organized at the Circus Maximus in Rome by Bring Them Home Italia, involved the display of a bow made of inflatable material, on which the photos of the 132 kidnapped men, women and children were placed. “We decided to bring to Rome this initiative that is taking place across the world, to raise awareness of the civilians who have been hostages in Gaza for over 100 days and who have still not received visits from the Red Cross or medicines for their chronic diseases from which some suffer.”
“The Union of Young Jews of Italy continues its work to raise awareness among civil society on the issue, which is not sufficiently addressed in the analysis of the dynamics of the conflict”, said to Pagine Ebraiche the newly elected president of the Union of the Italian Jewish Youth – UGEI Luca Spizzichino. “We cannot help but make the suffering of those who are still in the hands of terrorists our own. Many of these are young people, are our peers. It could have been us. The UGEI has the duty to be there and continue to be there, for all of them.”
