NEWS President Sergio Mattarella Visits Shoah Memorial in Berlin

The President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella visited the Shoah Memorial in Berlin, where he is on a State visit.

“The passing of time has entrusted these sites with the crucial task of keeping the memory of the barbaric acts committed alive, a permanent warning so that what happened will never occur again”, he wrote in the visitors’ book. “I feel confident that the conscience of new generations will learn from a visit to this Memorial new and deep inspiration for a better future free from this monstrosity”.

The president also left a wreath of flowers.
